What we’re doing

We’re what is known as bi-vocational. We spend time working directly with French and International churches and individuals plus some time earning money to help support the overall project. We’re  investing time in The Bridge International Church, an english language church in western Paris. Sharon writes about a life of gratitude on her web site at Une Vie De Remerciements.  To help support our work Dave writes in a variety of contexts. His book with Roy Godwin, The Grace Outpouring, is touching many lives at this time. Dave is also involved in helping resource children’s workers around the world.

Our main task however is the establishment of a prayer and mission resource in Dieppe, Normandy. We will seek to serve the wider church in Normandy and further afield with respect to prayer and mission. Here is how the vision is unfolding.

The brown doors lead to the courtyard that our new apartment overlooks

Behind the brown doors in the picture to the left is where we will be. We would love to welcome you there. It will be:

  • A place of welcome and hospitality – this is key to what we believe about mission and discipleship, Enjoying good food, conversation and relaxation is part of how we discover more about Jesus together.

  • A place of prayer – the apartment will have a designated prayer room with prayer taking place in various creative forms; There will be a daily rhythm of prayer with a specific focus on France and Dieppe in particular. There will also be prayer-walking, weeks of 24-7 prayer, times of reflection and teaching and meditative prayer. Read more here about how you can be part of prayer for France and Normandy in particular.
  • A place to learn – with books to read and audio to listen to there will be a chance to understand more about French culture, and how this impacts sharing the good news about Jesus.

Dieppe (meaning ‘deep’) is a quaint harbour town which has the largest market in Normandy. You can walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, ferry port and railway station from our apartment.

If you live in East Sussex we’re only hours away and you can come on the ferry as a foot passenger from Newhaven to Dieppe for £30 return per person. For more information on visiting us go here
