Why Normandy?

Church building overlooking Dieppe

Normandy is an area about the size of Belgium, or East Anglia in the UK. It has a population of about 3.4 million.

There are many church buildings, but the number of committed Christians there is thought to only be in the thousands. Normandy has been relatively neglected by our recent mission strategies.

There is a huge spiritual need in Normandy. There is a decline in allegiance to the Roman Catholic church, and a turning to atheism and the occult. The pace of mission, prayer and Christian community in Normandy has quickened in recent decades but there is still much to do as we seek to share the life giving message of Jesus.
